Holy smokes, 6 kids! Congratulations man!
We just had our third (3 boys now) about a month and a half ago, but he's definitely our last. Couldn't imagine doubling up on that. You are a brave, brave man :)

Damn. My plan was to do 2 blogs a month and it's been months since I wrote 1 blog. I've been pretty busy lately. If I'm not working, I'm busy with other stuff (family, friends, games, movies, sleeping, etc). I tried hitting up the site a few times and didn't get to visit much. I'm having a few pc issues. I'll just have to get a new one next year if I can come up with the money. The reason I've been working so much is that I'm saving up money for my wife's maternity leave from her job. Yes, we are having another baby. Child number 6! We're hoping for another girl, since we already have 4 boys. But, whatever happens is fine. Anyway, on with the games...
Games I Finished:
The Witcher 3 (PS4)
Damn good game. There's not much I didn't like about it. Story was great. Characters were great. Combat was great. There were a few side mission objectives that were a tad obtuse and I had to check youtube to progress through them. I was also a little disppointed with the romances too. In general, I wish they were a bit more involved. I would like to see more affection between the characters that are romantically involved and that romance's affect on the other characters. I have yet to play a game that have romanace options that have satisfied me. Most just feel tacked on. I plan to play through it again before the year ends. I did start playing it, but quit because I wanted to start with the new "game plus" option. By the time that option released, I moved on to another game.
Devil Survivor 2 (3DS)
After months of playing, I finally finished the game and the extra content. I really enjoy playing this series and they're not hard games to play once you get into them. I put in over 168hrs and almost decided to play through it again. I really hope I 3rd game is coming in the future.
South Park: The Stick of Truth (360)
This game was surprisingly fun, easy, and short for a rpg. I knocked it out in a couple days. I would of finished it sooner, but my kids were always around and they wanted to watch me play. I didn't let them sit next to me while I was playing and paused the game if they entered the room, but I'm sure they pick up a couple inappropriate scenes from the game. There were more than a few times I caught my kids sneaking into the room while I played. Hopefully, they're not scarred and my wife doesn't find out. I recently found out a sequel is coming. I can't wait to play it.
Games I'm Playing:
Dragon Age: Inquisition (PS4)
I own the 360 version and finished it a while back. I recently picked up this version. This playthrough, I'm playing as a female non-human.
Dragon Quest V (DS)
I played the DS versions of DQIV and DQVI and enjoyed them. DQV is the last of the DS DQ remakes for me to play. If this game is anything like the other two, it's going to be a very long quest.
Super Street Fighter IV (3DS)
The digital version was on sale. It was less than $10, so I couldn't pass it up. It's an impressive game. It's a bit difficult to pull off some special moves and combos and there is no movement in the stage backgrounds, but I can't expect a 3DS game to be exactly like the console versions.
Persona 4 Golden (PS Vita)
I finally got my PS TV functioning and playing Persona 4. This is not my first playthrough of P4, but I'm hoping for a slightly different experience with this Golden version.
Games I Bought:
Bayonetta 2 (Wii U) - This is the only game I REALLY want to play on the Wii U. I'm happy I bought it. Now, I just need to get a Wii U to play it on. Maybe next year. The Wii U should be cheaper then.
OlliOlli (PS4) - This is a fun little game. It took me a little time to get use to it after playing Tony Hawk and then the Skate games for so many years.
Hotline Miami (PS4)
Grim Fandango (PS4) - This is one of those games critics say is so great. The re-release was on sale on PSN. If I can get to it, maybe I'll see if this game is as good as they say.
UFC (PS4) - It's a lot of fun playing with friends. I totally suck at it though.
The BureaU (360)
Batman: Arkham Origins (360) - Only $10 at Toys R Us. I hadn't played it yet.
Games I'm Planning to Purchase:
Fallout 4 (PS4)
This game can't come fast enough. I got into the Fallout games pretty late. It's a damn shame I let these awesome games go unnoticed for so long. It's also a damn shame I didn't preorder the Pipboy edtion. Oh well.... at least I get to enjoy the game when it comes out.
Naruto Shippuden Ultimate Ninja Storm 4 (PS4)
Persona 5 (PS4) - After seeing some videos on this game, I'm not sure if I'll like it or not. I know I'm buying it though.
That's it for this blog. It's not everything, but it's enough of what I've been up to in my gaming. What are you guys playing?
Haha, I hear ya. Not thrilled about it, but a snip is definitely in my future... my very, very near future. Definitely couldn't do the infant thing again. With 1 and 2 I was able to roll pretty well, but this one is really killing me. A full night of sleep at this moment sounds simply amazing.
Everything with my 3rd child was really easy. He slept at night and learn to walk, talk, and potty trained faster than my first 2. We homeschool and he taught himself to count, add, substract, and read. Now, my 4th child.... that's another story. I love that kid, but he's hell on wheels sometimes.
Can't see how you have any free time with so many kids , but good for you. I own Dragon Age: Inquisition for PS4 but have yet to play it. I bought Metal Gear Solid 5 and that will take all my free time for the foreseeable future as I have been literally waiting for it since I finished MGS4. I want the Witcher 3, but will probably wait for the GOTY version to come, same with Batman: Arkham Knight.
Having many kids isn't bad. As they get older, they help around the house, which free up time.
I had to get The Witcher 3. It's the main reason I bought a PS4. It has only 2 pay dlcs. Neither are out yet. It has 16 released dlcs that are free. If you see it cheap, I say "pick it up".
My limit would pobably be 4kids, if that. Congratulations!
I need to rent Withcher 3 if I see it at red box.
I wasn't allowed to watch South Park when I was really young, but the Simpsonwas usually fair game. And my family was fine with Family Guy when I was 10 on.
SFIV felt too stiff and slow to me when I played it through PS Now.
Yeah, Bayonetta 2 is the only non-Nintendo game I can really think of wanting to play.
OlliOlli2 looked fun, but I tought the price was bit much, even on sale.
I have Hotlie Miami on Steam, but don't really like it all that much. I was wating to get Grim, but forgot about the sale.
If I get a 360, Origins would be one cheap game I'd want. Have it on Steam but it can be buggy.
I'm the only person on this planet not excited for Faout 4, because I never understood the hype around 3.
Congrats on the new little one! That is one full house but it sounds like a blast with a pop who plays games. Street Fighter is a deal at $10. That was one of the first games I played on a 3DS and actually tried with the 3D on. I like that UFC game, and I think I actually bought the Bruce Lee DLC for it. No worries about not being good at, I really suck.
I'm trying to get my weekday gaming together. I'd like to get in a movie's worth of time every day to gaming. It's been difficult though. I'd like to focus on RPGs and play a lot of them. They are mostly single player, which is good, since I'll be playing after work alone in the wee hours every night. Right now I have Etrian Odyssey Untold 2 in my 3DS waiting for me.
Don't beat yourself up too much, I damn near fell off the grid!
So many Games I needed start, let alone finish but that's coming...
And congrats on bringing another monster into the world, I got into gaming from my Brother who even now I somewhat idolise, your kids have a dad who loves this stuff.
The longer I stayed gone, the harder it was to come back. I didn't really feel like putting up a blog. I wasn't doing much really, in my opinion. I was just playing games when I could between work and family stuff. Actually, I do a lot of playing on my 3DS at work. One of these days, I'll get on of those portable monitors and then I can do a bit of console gaming at work too.
My kids love games almost as much as I do. They want to play all the time and if they're not playing, they're watching game videos, and talking about games. They don't read about games, like I did at their age though.
Bayonetta 2 is great! I played it not that long ago. But hey, there are a bunch of good games for the Wii U, especially great multiplayer stuff for families
I still have not played any of the Fallout games (despite owning both from last gen), so I'm not particularly excited about Fallout 4. I'm looking forward to Star Fox Zero and that multiplayer 3DS Zelda game...but mainly I'm excited for Deus Ex: Mankind Divided next year. Woot!
And congrats on #6!
I would really like to get Super Mario Maker. I almost preordered it. I may try to pick it up before the year ends. This game is a dream come true. My friends and I would create our own Super Mario Bros levels in our notebooks in elementary school. I hope I can afford to get a Wii U sooner than later.
Man, congrats on the 6th child. You must have the patience of a saint
Since Ultra SF IV is the definitive one, I hope to someday get that one on PC. The launch problems should be atleast fixed by now.
I've actually got Bayo 2, but I haven't started it.
Hotline Miami is incredible if you have the patience for it. I also found it to be quite cathartic.
As for Grim Fandango..... I want it, but for the time being i'm not giving Double Fine and Tim Schafer any money because of his asshatery at GDC this year.
I almost didn't get Grim Fandango for that same reason. I always wanted to get the game and since it's sale price was so low, I figured I'd just get it now. I have no plans to get anything else linked to Double Fine and Tim Schafer though. It's very likely I won't buy anything from them every again.
