What a donation to my collection!

So, we went over to some friends house warming party. As we were on the house tour we went into my friends man cave. He has some really sweet Vinyl, some SST and the like. Lots of Punk. Anyway. I look up and I see a pong machine. I say hey is that a Telegames Pong? He said I’m not sure. I asked if I can look at it. He says sure and gets it down. This below is what he pulled down.

He said he thought about selling it or throwing it away. I said if you dicide to do either let me know and I will make an offer. He said well you can have it, I’m not going to do anything with it. The smile on my face must have been a mile wide. I said if he ever wanted it back just let me know.

Dude, I’m glad I looked up. I never expected him to just give it to me. I guess he knew it would be well cared for.

I love that particular Pong deck design. I used to have one in black and white and am still kicking myself for letting it go.

I’m looking at getting more in the future. I just stumbled onto this one. At first I thought it was a Telegames one until he took it down and I saw Atari.

Yeah, like I told Matt, I’m glad I looked up. I played it a little bit today and it plays perfect! I’m looking for a C-100 now. I love these Pong machines! I have two now.

That's a neat find! Reminds me of the time I got my Pac-Man arcade machine. i was in 3rd grade. Our church had gotten a donation of arcade machines but they didn't want them. They said, "Whoever has a truck can take them." We had a truck so we took the Pac-Man machine!

That's pretty neat. Somewhere in storage I have a knockoff Pong console, from Venture Electronics I think. It was powered by six C batteries.

This one takes 4 D batteries. My Bentley Compuvison takes 4 AA batteries.

Hey, you need to see if you can find it and fire it up.

Great score, Larry! My uncle and aunt were given a Pong deck for their wedding by someone who didn't know them very well (more outdoorsy than gamer), I have no idea what the brand was. Might have been an original, for all I know. We kids would hook it up, play for about 15 minutes and then get bored and go back outside to play.
