Iconoclasts does look great. I like a platformer with shooting in it too.
First Impressions: Evil Within 2 and Iconoclasts

Firstly, Iconoclasts.
This could be percieved as blasphemous, but I docked my Switch for the foreseable future. I picked up a handful of Indies that I was not expecting to come to Switch, so I bought them and for once I don't want to double dip before I play them... This comes from me wanting to play Iconoclasts, which recently released on Switch and Timespinner, which I have not seen any teases for a Switch release, unless I missed it.
Anybody who complained about Metroid Fusion being too verbose... should probably stay away from Iconoclasts.
The game is gorgeous.
The Evil Within 2.
I tried to get into the original Evil Within last year... I fell off quickly.
The Evil Within 2 leaves a far better initial impression than its predecessor.
I have spent about 3 hours with the exploring Union so far. I am concerned that I will spend way too much time with the game because I am only in Chapter 3(of 17) so far. I am hoping that my slow going up front allows me to move more quickly later on in the game.
I have been genuinely fearing every encounter. It reminds me of what I remember of the original RE games. You can take just a couple of hits and you are done for, but it doesn't punish you quite as badly as those old games.
I am having a stress-filled blast so far.
I had some other thoughts earlier today that I cannot remember. I expect to finish Iconoclasts first. If I come to post closing thoughts on that game, I may give an update on Evil Within 2.
