I got the PS4 on a Black Friday sale, too. Around 2016 I think. And it's still the most current PlayStation console I use even today! I don't feel the need to get a PS5 anytime soon. I think the PS4 runs way better than my PS3 did. I try to get most of my games on the PS4 instead of the Switch, unless it's only available on the Switch or if it's something I'd rather play on the go.
Machine Memories: PS4

I remember being really impressed with the graphics of Killzone: Shadow Fall, a PS4 exclusive, during the launch. I don’t think I got a PS4 until a year later though on a black Friday sale 2014.
A PS4 slim came out later and a PS4 Pro console. I eventually traded my PS4 in 2020 or thereabouts when the trade-in value was high. Now I’d like to get the white PS4 slim to go with my white Xbox Series S. I’m currently hunting for one.
I feel like most of what I played on PS4 were continuations of series I already knew from previous Sony consoles, but there were a few new series I got into like Ni No Kuni, Horizon: Zero Dawn and Forbidden West, The Order 1886, and Bloodborne. I really like the design of the system, it’s smaller size, and the graphics. Games on PS4 always looked just a bit better than on Xbox One to me.
I’ve started to restock a games library for the PS4, and soon I should have a replacement deck.
TV Time! PS4 Launch Video. Can you name all the games shown?
