yeah i just watched this too.  I need a release date!

I'm so excited for this I can't even deal. And so far the overall consensus is generally positive, so that's a good sign.

It looks gorgeous because SE is using the Luminous Engine which was used to create Agni's Philosophy Demo. Very KH style gameplay. Well, if you like this SE is planning on making multiple sequels like the 13 series. Now I just want a release date.

All I know in terms of a release day is it's not being released this fiscal year which ends March 2014. So we've got awhile, unsurprisingly.

Well we have FFX HD and Lightning Returns to keep us busy. Also FF 14 in my case.

Nooo problem at all 

As much as I loved this, I also fell in love with the reveal trailer for Versus back in '06. I know the game looks awesome--I'm especially impressed by how well Noctis' fighting style in the trailers matches up with actual gameplay. But I want a goddamn release date already.

I was in high school when this was first announced; I graduated from college a year ago. Yet I don't know any more about when the game is coming out now than back when I was 18.

True. Ironically,  when XIII and Versus XIII were both announced, I was more interested in XIII for whatever reason. Wow what a statement looking back on it.

I was always more interested in Versus/XV. XIII seemed pretty "eh" from the start, what with SE citing COD as a design reference and all. :p

Whoa whoa whoa. They did that? That does sound vaguely familiar. Eh, I was in 6th grade at the time, so my tendency for internet research wasn't what it is now. Learn something new everyday.

Oh yes. I want this. As a non-JRPG gamer, but one who's always loved how amazing the FF series looked, and wanted to see what these stories were that got people so invested, this is right up my alley!

Looks great, but I'm not sold until I find out more.  They got me with XIII last time. 

Sad truth. I'm forever waiting to be brought back down to reality. But I'm gonna have my fun in the mean time.

So I guesse turn based combat is totally passe now. I won't lie it looks impressive, but it also looks like DMC/Ninja Gaiden in Final Fantasy clothing. I guesse I'm just oldschool or overly nostalgic but this is not my idea of a true Final Fantasy. I'm sure it will still be an incredible game, I just think it should be called something else. 

Well if we could get something of a release date i would really be happy it looks freaking awesome i love the physics of the characters and the battle system is sick i love it and cant wait to see how the controls feel. But like you im very excited and really want to see more like will we be able to visit citys, towns shop,buy weapons etc.

Oh and by the way Brittney They just release a ton of dlc for FFXIII-2 on xbox live so im sure they did on PSN you might want to check it out.

I love the direction they are taking this game! The gameplay looks unique and different along with exciting! Love how you can hide from enemies around the corner and such. I cannot wait for this to be released.

There's a lot riding on this game for SquareEnix. I will buy it. I wish them all the success in the world. They are too good of a company to fail. So many of my favorite games have been made by them.

I hope S/E turns itself around for the better. They still have the potential to make good games I think. If anything, E3 proved that in spades!

I'm pretty excited for the new Fantasy game. I'm glad to see SE is more-less settling into a genre. It's not the classic FF that I've come to know and love, but I'm still digging it. Looks Kingdom Hearts-ish!
