You've been pretty busy on the acquisition front, I see. Some good finds there.
Acqusitions post (finally)

Well, it's been over a month since I last posted... time flies, I suppose.
Anyway, I figured I should do another one of these, so without further ado, here are the latest (i.e. last year or so of) arrivals in my collection:
Strangely, most of my acquisitions were for the Wii, so we'll start there: Bit.Trip Complete, Castle of Shikigami III, Alien Syndrome, De Blob 2, Final Fantasy Chronicles: The Crystal Bearers, Metal Slug Anthology, Donkey Kong Country Returns, No More Heroes 2: Desperate Struggle, Boom Blox...
...Epic Mickey, Punch-Out!!, Xenoblade Chronicles (note the price... oh, how I love McKay), Rayman Origins, and Kororinpa: Marble Mania. On the 6th-generation front: The Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker, Kingdom Hearts II, Castlevania: Lament of Innocence, and Onimusha.
On the PS3: Dragon's Dogma (which I bought a day before finding out about the expanded version... oh well), Dark Void, Rachet and Clank Future: A Crack in Time, Ni No Kuni: Wrath of the White Witch, The Simpsons Game, Plants Vs. Zombies, The Ico/Shadow of the Colossus Collection, Dark Souls, Dead Rising 2: Off the Record, and Final Fantasy XIII-2.
For the PSP: Persona, Persona 2, Persona 3 Portable, Z.H.P.: Unlosing Ranger vs. Darkdeath Evilman, Loco Roco, Kingdom Hearts: Birth By Sleep, and Final Fantasy Tactics: War of the Lions.
On the DS: Kingdom Hearts Re:Coded, Lunar: Dragon Song, New Super Mario Bros., Kirby: Canvas Curse, Kirby: Mass Attack, Aliens: Infestation, Puchi Puchi Virus, and Planet Puzzle League.
On the Game Boy: Ring Rage, Bill and Ted's Excellent Game Boy Adventure, Cliffhanger, Olympic Summer Games, Sword of Hope, Battle Bull, Quarth, and Operation: C.
For various other systems: American Gladiators, Pac-Man World, Excitebike 64, Journey Escape, Mouse Trap, Raiders of the Lost Ark, Strawberry Shortcake: Musical Matchup, Izzy's Quest for the Olympic Rings, Rival Turf, and Krusty's Super Fun House.
Saving the NES for last (more or less), not too much this time: Balloon Fight, Circus Caper, Predator, Overlord, Impossible Mission II, Daydreamin' Davey, The Rocketeer, and Castle of Dragon.
There are a few other special finds to mention: A boxed copy of Lode Runner, a near-mint copy of the Game Boy version of Dragon's Lair, and a copy of the NES compilation Maxi 15, which was released towards the end of the system's life and contains a bunch of American Video Entertainment's work for the system - all of which was unlicensed. It's not as well-known as Action 52, but it's not quite as garbage, either.
I feel like I've been losing steam on writing this blog, and I kind of miss all of this being over at 1UP. I've also been trying to figure out a way to convert this NES review project into a more stable format - something that could be uploaded somewhere and linked to from a blog like this. If I do end up reviewing every NES game ever released in the US, I'd rather be able to let the project live on in a downloadable file of some sort, rather than being tied to a blog on a site that may or may not shut down someday.
I won't let this thing die, but I have trouble seeing myself muster up the energy for another review in the immediate future. I'll keep you guys posted, though.
