January 2015: Snow'd

Survived the snow storm. No loss of power, but I ended up working from home is no games for me. Boo. Took all morning today to shovel out so I gave up and called into work for today. My body is radiating cold right now as I type. Gonna make brownies instead. (Not that kind of brownie.)

What I've been playing:

Still playing: Dragon Age Inquisition. Romancing Cullen because he's all awkward about it and it's adorable. Hilarious that the instant you start something with someone and walk away the whole goddamn fort suddenly knows about the relationship and starts in on you about it. Get a life people! I'll fuck who I want, I'm the goddamn inquisitor! I'm taking my time with this game, I actually enjoy fetch quests so I'll be here awhile. Finished Crestwood, I liked that area a lot.

Still playing: Far Cry 4, casual massacre. I felt like a horrible person not for the rampages, but for laughing at that one guy who said his wife was killed by rabid badgers. I laughed, then Ajay laughed.... and I velt vindicated, and terrible. Good job game.

Other Games: Picked up Pix the Cat and Resogun. Both hurt my fingers, but it's a good hurt. Also picked up...Transistor. I had wanted that game for awhile, but put off buying it for my Mac cause I knew it was out on PS4. FINALLY remembered and bought it. Glad I did. Not very far in but I'm falling in love with the voice of the guy in the game and I want the soundtrack for Red's songs. The gameplay is great too, mixing skills is fun. Great game, pick it up if you haven't.

On the horizon is Bloodborne... I'll likely not finish any of these games before the end of March. So many games, so little time.

did u get a PS4? I think I might get one real soon. I was playing Inquisition on PC, but I don't think my PC can handle games anymore, so I will have to start fresh. grrrr.

I want a brownie! hot brownies are good on cold days!

Yes, a PS4 was my Xmas present. Of course I only have room for one system set up at a time so I had to drop everything I was up to on PS3. Soemday I'll probably finish Tales of Xillia 2..... maybe...

Pix the Cat. I remember that game. Talk about a failed mascot. Funny they even thought they needed one when Master Chief became it for the Xbox brand.

I spent the morning tunnelling out to my car. Still trying to find the compost pile in the field...

Now it's rain on top of snow here. Then it's gonna snow again. What a mess.

We got lucky - it's all snow here. I don't have to go anywhere today, one small benefit to being unemployed. And if I do have to go into town, I can snowshoe though the woods .
