In case you aren't in the know, Valve is pushing a new console alternative in the form of an open source platform that allows contractors to build hardware around Valve's STEAM infrastructure. This means that users will have more options to customize their personal gaming experience while giving more freedom to gaming developers and publishers. That's the mission statement theory, anyways.

Maybe I'm old. Maybe I'm a psychological control. Maybe both. Anyways-

I look forward to getting to know this site. Even though it's sad to see 1up meet its end, the only saving grace it had from recent memory was the community. It's nice that I will be able to follow the familiar blogs from 1up as well as discover new ones. Cheers^^
