The GBC version isn't nearly as good. Get the NES version if you can.

I am happy to have helped! This is a NES game that needs more exposure. Truly a hidden gem.
The terms JRPG and WRPG are used less to denote country of origin and more to classify games based on attributes specific to their region of development. Example: JRPGs typical contain anime-styled characters and turn based combat, where-as W(estern)RPGs typically have more realistic character designs and contain MMORPG elements such as non-linear story progression and real time battles.
I love the Lunar series, and as much as it pains me to say it- I think the series is best left where it is. They did the port for PSP... if that left any kind of mark we would have surely seen an Eternal Blue port as well. The GBA and DS games have been terrible. I think it woyuld be best to leave this old fashioned JRPG where it belongs... in the past.
Metroid II is totally worth revisiting, if you can lend your brain to the old school esthetic it is steeped in. The game comes from a different time- that being said, it is a fantastic action adventure game none-the-less.
It is going in and out. I was there today getting the last of my blog entries copied off. Every three or four clicks I would get a server error. Jeremy Parish claimed thet were going to publish the last of their commissioned articles... bummer.
Seiken Densetsu 3 is definitly a far superior game to Secret of Mana, and it's a shame it never made it out of Japan.
Thanks!
