And that’s it, round 2 is now officially in the books, folks! This round proved to be quite interesting as all four matchups were either very, very close or complete blowouts. Mutant League vs. Onimusha
Winner…Onimusha!
In our first close match of the round, Onimusha escapes by the skin of its teeth with a slim margin of just 53% of the vote. This was a close one from the very beginning, but the horrific samurai franchise lives on to fight another day.
Legacy of Kain vs. MediEvil
Winner…Legacy of Kain!
I’m not sure what the heck happened in this round, but it sure was something. MediEvil had a pretty decent lead early in the round, but Legacy of Kain came charging back over the weekend in a big. In the end, this one wasn’t even close, with the famed vampire franchise earning 77% of the vote. Sir Daniel Fortesque heads back to the cemetery for now. I hope it isn’t the last we see of the undead cowardly knight.
Lunar vs. ActRaiser
Winner…ActRaiser!
The battle of the RPGs was a close one, but in the end gameplay triumphed over charm, with ActRaiser narrowly beating out the Lunar series by a slim margin of 53%. ActRaiser is seemingly the tournament’s dark horse entry this year. Will it continue its Cinderella run?
Eternal Darkness vs. Viewtiful Joe
Winner…Eternal Darkness
If ActRaiser is the tournament’s dark horse, Eternal Darkness is the heavy weight. Viewtiful Joe never stood a chance against this behemoth as it racks in another landslide victory with 77% of the vote (it actually carried 100% of the vote for quite some time). Can anyone stop this juggernaut? We’ll find out in the next round!
Alright, now it’s time to move on to the Final Four! Again, since there is no classic “seeding” for this tournament, all matchups have been determined at random.
