That is one evenly sliced pie at the moment. I'm assuming I was the fourth vote. lol

I will say that Legacy of Kain winning kind of gives me much more work.  A series retrospective on Legacy of Kain is much more of an undertaking than Eternal Darkness, but I'm happy to do it.

Indeed. I like my vampires when they don't sparkle, please! What an utter disappointment a certain movie romance quintology turned out to be with stiff acting, horrible writing and one garbage ending. Wait, wrong blog. haha

I just had to go with Kain. As much as I loved Eternal Darkness, I can't help but feel like a sequel just wouldn't hold up to the original and would end up being kind of hokey. Meanwhile, the Kain series has a rich mythology and some of the best writing and voice acting in the biz.

Or it did, anyway. If they ever do another I doubt Michael Bell or Simon Templeman will come back.

Michael said not once, but twice, that he'd love to return. With LoK, the casting direction, dialogue, and story is probably the one constant in all of the games. I don't think this series is something along the lines of Thief, or even Metal Gear Solid, where you can make a half-decent excuse to switch voices... there will probably be war if somebody tries to make a sequel with replacements for the current LoK actors.

That's really great to hear. I figured since he's getting up there in years he may not be interested in reprising his role as Raziel.

Jade Empire is the only game that matters on this list.

I loved Soul Reaver. I like the drama behind the development of that game. Apparently it was only half completed when it was released. I didn't know that.

Yeah, it was a bummer only getting I think 2 of the 6(?) elements of the Soul Reaver. And if memory serves, Soul Reaver 2 went in a different direction than what was originally planned.
