If you can't sell it.. I'll take a freebie for voting.
haha Just kidding
What will the label of the first official 8Bit Beer look like? You decide!
[UPDATE: The people have spoken! Due to community input, we've added a fourth option! Unfortunately this means that the poll has to be reset - so if you already voted come back and do it again!]
A bit back I posted a blog asking for the community’s help in picking names for a beer I would design and brew. I got a decent amount of feedback and have enough potential names to brew well into the future, which is pretty awesome, but I don’t want the community’s input to end there.
As you may have seen, Justin Matkowski (known as Justinterpret around these parts) not only made a couple of suggestions, but also went so far as to create some mockups of some of his favorites – all of which were fantastic.
This got me thinking, perhaps we could do more with this concept. I contacted Justin and asked him to design some labels for the community to vote on for PixlBrews inaugural batch of hand crafted beers, Kirby’s Cream Ale.
With your help, we’ll choose which of the above labels will adorn the packaging of this unique venture, but that’s not all. Since Kirby is the first subject of “PixlBrews 8Bit Beer Series”, I think it only fitting that we give the little guy some love. Tell us all why Kirby is awesome in the comments section down below. I’ll select an entry or two to receive a large format bottle or two of this brew when completed. Obviously, you must be 21 or up to receive this prize (you must be able to prove your age), but don’t let that stop you from voting or sharing your favorite Kirby moments.
Voting will be open from today through Friday (April 12th) and I’ll contact winners via direct message. I’ll also document the brewing process so that all you beautiful people can see what goes into making the beer.
One last thing, there are many reasons that I cannot sell my homebrew; to be blunt, it’s against the law. So please don’t ask me to sell you a bottle, because I just can’t legally do that sort of thing. However, I will be posting the recipe so any aspiring or current homebrewers will be able to make their own if they so choose!
And with that I say, get to voting!
Which label for Kirby's Cream Ale do you like best?

I wish you could combine A and C. From C I want to keep Kirby in the center, white lettering, blue background. From A I want to keep all the background with the sky, ground, characters. If it has to be one or the other it'll be A just because I like the background. But there's no Kirby in it, so I win some and loose some either way.
Ah, I see him now! It's neat he's in there, he obviously needs to be since its his theme but I just want him to take the center of the design like in C but with the background and all the cool stuff from A. Thanks for pointing him out, now that I look at it the thought bubble leads down to him and everything but I missed him the first time.
Kirby is awesome simply because he doesn't appear in bad games. They'll give a game where you control 10 Kirbies, everything is made of yarn, or you have to draw paths to guide him along levels and it's still great. But his regular games are still a blast in their own right, Return to Dreamland's my favorite sidescroller this gen.
Awesome! I've been brewing beer myself, I'm a hop nut so IPA's are my thing. My last batch came out pretty darn good, if you ever want trade some brews, Im down for it!
So I have to agree with Michael117, a combination of A and C would be cool, keep the land and background from A, but add the image of Kirby the middle of the logo. I know Kirby is down in the corner, but you can't really see him and I can't tell what he is doing down there. Chilling in a chair?
As for the contest, I never played much Kirby so happy to let someone else earn their sample!
Thank you for the feedback everyone!
Agreed with Epic Greenman here; the Kirby series is amazing because you have the main series consisting of very solid, enjoyable playformers, and then you have the side games such as Kirby's Dream Course (my favorite game of all time!) and Kirby Canvas Curse. Even it the primary platforming series, HAL always tries something new, aesthetically and in turns of gameplay mechanics, to keep things fresh. In an age where repetitious sequels with minor facelifts are the standard, the Kirby series stands as a shining example of creativity that shows what can be done with a franchise when it's creators embrace a fearless attitude.
Yeah, I'm definitely liking the new option, D. Kirby is awesome because he's the world most versatile hero. Platforming? Check. Pinball? Breakout? Check. Racing? Fighting? Check. Golf? Check and check. All we need is a proper Kirby RPG. When you play a Kirby game you're in for a guaranteed good time. Also, he's adorable
(This is absolutely awesome! I'm 27,so I'm hoping to be able to buy/partake in this business venture! xD)
Kirby is awesome for many reasons. My personal favorite? Being able to beat my "unbeatable" ex-boyfriend and his roommates in Super Smash Bros Melee (or Brawl!) as Kirby. Amen for B+Down! They were so angry that they were beaten by a girl, especially since they were beaten by a little pink cutiepie! *^_^*
