I haven't played the new Tomb Raider.  I know some people who really liked it. But I've already been heavily influenced by Casey's opinion on Twitter and other places about it. It's kind of my opinion now and I haven't even played it!  Laughing

Great podcasts guys. Happy to hear from new voices. I enjoy reading Jamie and Blakes blogs all the time.
I agree with Casey on classic Tomb Raider and Legends and Anniversary. I'm a big fan of the TR series and have purchased the many versions of Anniversary, on PSP, Wii etc. I really loved Legend and collection and was hoping they'd continue in that new direction but then went the direction of Uncharted, and stupified everything, so agreed with Blake on the new series. It didn't do much for me and I pretty much gave up on the series and just accept Uncharted as the successor I suppose, in the same way that Devil May Cry was replaced by Bayonetta.

I also thought the tomb of King Arthur was both absurd and fun at the same time. A great little set piece, and I also enjoyed the parts in Legend that felt more like Zelda. I think the water levels were very fun and much improved mechanic to the series. I want to replay it now damned you Casey!!!

I like this game quite a bit. I think it was important in bringing TR back and updating the control scheme. I like the new Lara (Keeley Hawes is the perfect voice for her) and the story. I think it was a solid reboot, but I do think it was missing some key TR elements at the same time. It didn't miss the mark close to as badly as the more recent reboot though. Anyway looking forward to hearing you guys get more in-depth with this next time. Great job with this episode.
