I was going to change my comment on this episode to talk about Microsoft as I experience them: via PC. But oh well. I think the ones you've read so far have more interesting points to make than I did.
I just can't bring myself to pull the trigger on a Switch, but I will say I vastly prefer having unlockable characters in fighting games to not. If the criticism is HOW you unlock them, fine, but Ryan's scoffing at the concept was a bit weird to me, since I see that as one of the best reasons to replay a fighter's arcade mode. Unlocking by paying is also bad practice, but unlocking by playing the game is just what I need to enjoy the single player most times, and I'm super bummed it's not really a thing any more.
Can confirm: The stupid search function of one-letter-at-a-time is gone from the PS Store. It now uses the same virtual keyboard Netflix and EVERY OTHER PS4 APP ALREADY HAD. Why the hell did that take so long?!
I didn't have quite the level of Julian's download issues on my PS4, and I do use Wi-Fi, but it used to be a lot worse before I sent everything to my external storage (2TB HDD). Now, I can look forward to several big games being uploaded the next morning if I so want.
I'm digging the Castlevania music about an hour in and will come back for part 2.
