Record any new game related purchases here with pics, and give some reasons why you bought them.

Um... you can record any epic fails in this regard as well. My first post will be how I failed at picking up two things I wanted today.

I went to my local retro store today, Jay Street Video Games, and tried to find Magical Drop for PS1 or Saturn and Wizardry V for SNES. I found neither. EPIC FAIL!

I don't know how I'm going to get these outside Amazon now. Magical Drop was on PSN, as part of Arcade Classics, but you can't purchase it anymore. I wonder why. 

Wizardry V, I thought, might be available on GOG.com or Steam but only 6-8 are available on those services.

I also wanted to get Magical Drop V on XBLA, but for some reason the XBLA and PSN versions never came out and so it's only available on Steam for $5. I eyed a $20 Steam card at BestBuy after my epic fail at Jay Street, but didn't bite. I'll pick up one of those cards soon though.

I just got Ace Attorney Investigations: Miles Edgeworth and Ghost Trick: Phantom Detective off of Amazon.

Since it is a generation change I'm working on picking up some older titles while they are cheap. Especially the ones I tend to see on "best of system" lists. My main focus is Wii, DS and 360.

This weekend I nabbed de Blob 2 (DS) for $3 and Tenchu: Return From Darkness (Xbox) for $2, both complete in box. de Blob 2 is something I've been looking to get for a good deal, but Tenchu was an impulse buy. I was hoping to score some other older gems, but didn't spot anything that was a particularly great deal.

Last night I bought Assassins Creed IV and Game of Thrones for the PS3. Pics will be in my Quick Hits blog. 

I've had trouble controlling my purchases lately.  I got a 3DS several months ago and have since bought basically every single DS and 3DS game that I have wanted. I counted 28 games for it as of yeterday.  Of course I've only had time to play a half dozen of them so far.

In the last two weeks I have bought physical copies of Bravely Default, Castlevania Dawn of Sorrow, Mario Kart 7, Luigi's Mansion Dark Moon, Fire Emblem Awakening, Adventure Time: Hey Ice King! Why'd You Steal Our Garbage, and Final Fantasy X/X-2 (Vita).

I bought Metroid Fusion and Mario&Luigi on Wii U virtual console.  I also bought several games on the PSN, but the only one I can remember off the top of my head is Fez.

Just bought Resident Evil: Revelations (PS3) for $10 from GameFly. Looking forward to digging in.

I got a PowerA Universal Clean & Protect Kit because I lost my stylus for my 3DS XL. I couldn't find just a simple kit of a couple replacement styluses so I got this kit which has some cleaning wipes I could use and a small plastic case that holds a total of 8 3DS carts. $10 at Walmart.

Just bought all the DLC for Borderlands 2 at 50% off on Xbox 360's Spring Sale.

Just got Super League Football Zen Studios Pinball FX2 table for 50% off on Spring Sale on Xbox 360.

Free game right now is Deadlight on Xbox 360, so I downloaded it.

Just picked up some game related comics today. Mass Effect Foundation 10 and Halo Escalation 5.

Downloaded Child of Light on XBLA last night. $15. I'm going to try and get to it before the weekend, but I'm trying to finish two lecture series on etymology and storytelling, so it's going to be hard. I'll definitely play a lot of it on the weekend though.

I downloaded the genesis Strider and Mega Man X the other day.  Really enjoying Mega Man right now.

what is the game like? good or bad?

@asrealasitgets: Haven't had a moment to even see the opening cut scene, but will get to it probably Saturday or Sunday.

I just traded in Prof. Layton Azran Legacy at Gamestop for $20 and put it towards a preorder of Wolfenstein: New Order on Xbox 360. Gamestop is having their buy 2 get 1 free sale for games under $20, which I used to take advantage of all the time, but there isn't much I really want at the moment, so I think I'll pass. I did see the iCade Core controller for $20 and almost got it. I don't have a tablet yet, so there's really no reason.

I grabbed Shadowrun Returns for the iPad because it was half off.  Also grabbed Mega Man X and X2 on the Virtual Console.

today I ended up buying Saiyuki: Journey West from the PSN.  Had my eye on it for a few weeks now...
