Whoa whoa whoa. They did that? That does sound vaguely familiar. Eh, I was in 6th grade at the time, so my tendency for internet research wasn't what it is now. Learn something new everyday.

Sad truth. I'm forever waiting to be brought back down to reality. But I'm gonna have my fun in the mean time.
True. Ironically, when XIII and Versus XIII were both announced, I was more interested in XIII for whatever reason. Wow what a statement looking back on it.
All I know in terms of a release day is it's not being released this fiscal year which ends March 2014. So we've got awhile, unsurprisingly.
I'm so excited for this I can't even deal. And so far the overall consensus is generally positive, so that's a good sign.
I watched a good bit of this when it came on some obscure television channel one time, but I couldn't sit through the whole thing. I'll admit it's not as bad as people made it out to be, but it just wasn't for me. Trust me, I tried to like it. On the other hand I own the 2 disc version of Advent Children, and I watch it every time my family goes on any kind of road trip. I think a good bit of the reason I like it is that I watched it before I actually played Final Fantasy VII. I know, sounds stupid, but it happened. Hence the poorly developed story and characters didn't have such ill effect on me because I didn't have a strong connection to the world yet.
I definitely see what you're saying. Just differences in taste I guess. I'd rather play a charming game like Ni No Kuni, rather than three Witchers. And a thousand Skyrim's couldn't compare to one well crafted JRPG no matter how familiar it might seem. I just get more enjoyment out of stuff like that. Just for me personally. They're completely different in every way so I suppose there's no sense in comparing them.
Being one of those overzealous fans who did in fact sob uncontrollably at the mention of Final Fantasy XV and Kingdom Hearts III, it's obvious I'm mostly looking forward to those. But Second Son impressed me, if only for the fluid looking design and the fact that the trailer featured Heart Shaped Box. Because really, who doesn't love Nirvana? Shadowfall still looks amazing despite being yet another FPS being churned out monotonously. Tom Clancy's The Division impressed on some level as well. But I found myself liking the quirkier things like Knack and Garden Warfare as well.
Right! What does that even meannn?
